JOB FOR A COWBOY Award-winning, Glendale, AZ heavy music powerhouse JOB FOR A COWBOY blend stunning musicianship and cutting edge song craft to create the absolute embodiment of modern day extreme music. The band’s hotly-anticipated sophomore album Ruination will see a July, 2009 worldwide release date via Metal Blade Records.

In the two short years since the release of the band’s full length debut Genesis, JOB FOR A COWBOY (JFAC) has progressed from “the band with the different name” to one of the leading lights for heavy music in the 21st century. JFAC formed in 2003 when vocalist Jonny Davy (16 at the time) and guitarists Andrew Arcurio and Ravi Bhadriraju (each 15 at the time) joined forces. The band would soon be joined by bassist Brent Riggs and drummer Elliott Sellers and the quintet immediately began work on the material that would comprise their celebrated debut EP “DOOM”. In the months that followed, JFAC delivered “jaw-dropping” live performances that would soon earn it a legion of fans including Metal Blade Records owner and founder Brian Slagel.

JOB FOR A COWBOY would soon add guitarist Bobby Thompson to its ranks and In May, 2007 unveiled its debut album, Genesis. Immediately upon the release of Genesis, JOB FOR A COWBOY toured the world to out-and-out acclaim. The New York Times referred to JOB FOR A COWBOY’s sound as “brute-force”, a commendatory claim that is unquestionably validated by the latest record Ruination. Front man Jonny Davy states, “Job For A Cowboy has toured the world and faced a ton of challenges over the course of the last year and a half. All of the hard work that we’ve put in and everything that we’ve experienced is directly reflected in our new songs, which we know are our best yet. Stay tuned.”
